Blood Moon PRIZEWALL
Blood Moon Prizewall
What's going on?
Rewards for achieving certain scores in constructed tournaments will now be called "Prizewall Points".
The number of points won will depend only on the final score (instead of the exact ranking determined by the auxiliary ranking).
Prizewall points won will be represented by physical cards and can always be exchanged for cards, boosters or other prizewall items after the tournament - see the gallery for what is currently available.
When does the new system apply?
The first tournament where you can start collecting Prizewall Points is Duel Commander on 23.9.2023.
Why introduce something like this?
Only the final score will be important for the prize amount, not the auxiliary rating.
There will be more options for what to take away from the tournament when placing, everyone will choose what suits them.
There is also the option to not use the points immediately, accumulate them over time and take something more valuable.
In addition to piece cards, boosters or MTG add-ons will also be available.
How will it work?
Entry fees collected at tournaments will be converted into prizewall points and distributed to those who achieve a ranked score based on their results. A better score obviously means more points will be earned.
The value of 1 prizewall point is set so that 1 draft booster of the current set (currently Wilds of Eldraine) can be taken for 10 points. Which means that 1 point is equivalent to about 8 CZK.
There will always be an option to pick something from the prizewall after the tournament is over (in order of final placement).
FAQ section:
Q1: If I miss 10 points on Force of Will, can I make up the rest and take it?
You can, as long as your prizewall points are at least three quarters of what it is rated at. Then you can make up the difference and it's yours.
Q2: Will the prices of the cards in the prizewall change or will they stay the same?
The prices will be updated every 2 months, plus individually if a card jumps up or drops down.
Q3: Until when can I collect points?
As long as Blood Moon is running tournaments, feel free to frontload for another year ahead. ;)
Q4: Can I buy and use points from other people?
It is possible. Points are the property of the person who won them at the tournament, and they can use them as they see fit.
Q5: I have more questions!
That's what we have the Blood Moon Discord for (link is up here on the site). We'd love to see anyone there and answer questions!
Thanks for your attention and MTG cheers!
