On Saturday 26.4.2025 in Hradec Kralove took place the 4th tournament of this year's Najad League, which I participated in together with 58 other players. The tournament was held in a local pub and my journey to it started early in the morning, because I went to Hradec with a friend who needed to go earlier to prepare a stream, and from Úvaly. I got to the venue a bit sleepy a little before 10. I rested for a while, checked the decklist and at 11 the tournament started.

The whole tournament was also streamed and I played a few games on camera, you can find the video here.

Decklist window:

I went to the tournament with my regular deck: Vohar, Vodalian Desecrtor. The deck's goal is to kill the opponent with combo, and it has several different means to do so. More detailed info can be found in my primer here.

Report:

I'm not writing everything until the day after the tournament, so some details might not be completely accurate, sorry for any inaccuracies :D.

First round vs Will Eleven:

I met a friend from Prague in the very first round, so we both roughly knew our decks. The first game I left a slower hand and it turned out that my opponent unfortunately got mana screwed, after some counters I managed to recover. I started the second game on the draw with Gemstone Caverns and felt pretty comfortable, but the card advantage from Will proved relentless and after a longer game of Raffine ended my misery. The last game my opponent's deck failed to hold for the third time and he had to mulligan again, then we played a card tug of war and I managed to win the third set over Doomsday from the grave via Snapcaster.

Round two vs Plagon:

My fastest BO3 of the entire tournament, the first game my opponent tapped when I had Doomsday in hand and I had a clear path. The second game I think went similarly, not sure anymore.
